An absolutely stunning house and garden in a really beautiful setting. We loved the blend of old historic and new. Everything we could possibly have needed was here and we were so lucky with a week of sunshine. Thank you so much for letting us stay - an amazing holiday.

9 adults and 2 children have enjoyed a great weekend of celebration, love and laughter in this amazing property. We had an excellent meal at Jules last night. It's a shame that we all have to leave today and get back to our busy lives! Thank you for a great time.

Thank you for such a wonderful location for a birthday weekend! What a beautiful house, and excellently equipped too. Loved the secret passages, and the table tennis! I don't think I've ever stayed in a holiday house this beautiful - you've done an amazing job doing it up.

It's a lovely house - you can tell its been designed to live in not just as a holiday rental and we feel privileged to be here. (That's three architects and a historian talking :)

The perfect venue for our family gathering, and combined with the sunshine we’ve had so much fun. The house is so well equipped, we made full use of all the garden games - and I'm sure the whole village has heard the laughter from the trampoline. A wonderful weekend, and a highly recommended house, we've loved it!

The house is beautiful and so interesting. Lots to do - the trampoline was a real hit. Exploring the house and finding all the secret places. Enjoying a toasty log fire and relaxing in the peaceful garden. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed for a long weekend at The Throne and had a wonderful time. We were a party of 5 with 2 dogs and enjoyed our stay so much we are planning to return. Arrival info and directions were excellent and we decided to come by train which was easy. The pictures of the house don’t really prepare you for how stunning it actually is and it’s full of atmosphere. As you wander from room to room you really can feel the history of the place. The modernisation of the house has been carried out perfectly to compliment the old features. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms luxurious. A well stocked and huge kitchen made self-catering a breeze, although if you do venture out The Salutation Inn down the street serves excellent food and drink. The garden was beautiful and sizeable enough to allow the dogs to wear themselves out each day and we were lucky with the weather, so this was where we spent most of our time. (In the event of bad weather the house itself is more than ample to keep you comfortable.) There are walks around the area and a trail through the village which gives you some history of the area. If you do find the secret passages I would suggest not telling others if you want to add another element to your stay! I am thoroughly looking forward to returning here, hopefully with a larger party. Several times during the weekend “idyllic” was mentioned by various guests and I have to agree, it was.

What a beautiful house. It has taken most of our stay to get our bearings around the house but good fun exploring nooks and crannies!! Lots of 'hellos' from local people. We've eaten locally and over indulged each time! Would love a return visit sometime with family or Book Club getaway. Thank you, Liz. The grand piano is a nice touch!! Thank you for letting us enjoy a Fab w/e at the Throne. Didn't manage to use all rooms – never mind - next time! Weobley is a beautiful location. Recommend circular walk but the stiles were challenging!

It completely exceeded our expectations. It sounds a cliche, but it really was truly amazing. We spent so much time just walking around the house and discussing the different rooms. The information for the younger ones was helpful – I’m 45 and I spent time walking around the house whilst reading it! It felt like we had experienced part of history with the combination of the house, village and information to read. As you will see, we forgot to leave a comment in the visitor's book but we just wanted to thank you for a weekend which we will remember for a long time. Both myself and my sister in law were quite emotional when we first arrived. I don't think I have ever left a review (e mail!) before but felt it necessary after stopping at The Throne.

An amazing weekend with all the family. The children had a wonderful time in the garden. We would love to come back again.

Thank you for a splendid week in your beautiful house. A piece of conservation work of the highest quality - the juxtaposition of the old – and the real sense of past times - with the light, space and modernity of the kitchen and extension. Weobley is peaceful and calm with lovely walks. We had parents, children and grandchildren at various points, and the house worked so well as a place for all to be together (and the dog loved it too!)
